Rodney Mills - Vocals & Guitar

Rodney Mills – Guitarist | Founder | Resurrection Blues Band
Rodney Mills is the driving force behind Resurrection Blues Band, bringing decades of life experience, road-tested musicianship, and authentic blues-rock grit to the stage.
Originally from Southwest Michigan, Rodney first made his mark in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a guitarist in the national touring band D.U.I., before becoming the founding lead guitarist of the hard rock band Brother Orchid, based in Benton Harbor, Michigan. From 1993 to 1995, Brother Orchid built a reputation for powerful live performances and a hard-edged sound that reflected the era’s raw rock energy.
After several additional musical projects through 1997, Rodney stepped away from the music industry to pursue a different path. He spent the next two decades traveling across the United States working as a Boilermaker, Pipe Fitter, and offshore worker with Bisso Marine in New Orleans, gaining a wealth of real-world experiences that would later shape his musical voice.
In 2010, while living in Sun, Louisiana, Rodney rediscovered his passion for the guitar and began playing again after a 19-year hiatus from the music business. The spark had returned, and it was clear the time had come to share his music with the world once more.
After moving back to Southwest Michigan, Rodney immersed himself in the blues scene. In 2016 he joined the local blues group The Undertakers for a short run as a rhythm guitarist. The experience helped reignite his drive to create something of his own.
In 2017, Rodney began reconnecting with longtime friends and musicians who were also looking for a fresh start. Those collaborations led to a new musical chapter, and in early 2018 Resurrection Blues Band was born.
Today, Rodney Mills and Resurrection Blues Band deliver a powerful blend of blues, rock, and soul, fueled by decades of experience, second chances, and a deep love for the music. Their sound reflects the journey—hard roads, redemption, and the unmistakable spirit of the blues.

Billy Canty - Drums & Percussion

Billy Canty – Drums | Resurrection Blues Band
Billy Canty is a seasoned session drummer whose groove and musical instinct have been shaped by decades in the Southern music scene. Originally from Louisiana and later working throughout Florida, Billy began teaching drums straight out of high school in 1991, quickly establishing himself as both a respected instructor and an in-demand session player.
Over the course of his career, Billy has collaborated with numerous high-profile musicians and performers, building a reputation for versatility, professionalism, and a deep understanding of rhythm across blues, rock, and roots music.
With influences rooted in the rich musical traditions of the Gulf Coast, Billy brings a sophisticated groove and unmistakable New Orleans heat to the Resurrection Blues Band. His dynamic playing style blends precision, feel, and raw energy—laying down the powerful rhythmic foundation that drives the band’s signature blues-rock sound.

Frank Rotondo - Bass

Frank Rotondo – Bass | Resurrection Blues Band
Frank Rotondo is a Chicago-born bassist whose playing style was forged in the gritty, hard-working tradition of the city’s rock and blues scene. A musician shaped by experience and discipline, Frank brings a powerful, driving low end that anchors the Resurrection Blues Band’s sound.
Frank began his professional career with the 1980s Chicago-based rock band Paradoxx, where he developed his reputation for solid groove, stage presence, and relentless dedication to the craft. From there, his career took him across the country, performing extensively throughout Arizona and along the legendary Las Vegas Strip, sharing stages with a wide range of musicians and honing his dynamic performance style.
With decades of road experience behind him, Frank delivers the kind of hard-hitting, soulful bass playing that only comes from a lifetime in music. His steady groove and rock-solid rhythm section partnership help power the Resurrection Blues Band’s blues-rock sound night after night.
